Ayurveda

Ayurvedic sources - the traditional style of medicine found in India is called Ayurveda. It’s derived from the root word ‘Ayer’ which means life, and ‘Veda’ means knowledge. Hence, Ayurveda is science of life.

The basic aim of Ayurveda is balancing body, mind and consciousness. It offers an alternative to scientific meditation, which is set to emphasise on the symptoms and not on the cause of the disease.

According to Ayurveda, the imbance of the vatta, pitta, kapha are the causes for diseases

Each person is born with a particular body constitution called the Prakruti. The disease sets in when there is an imbalace in any of the Dosha, or two or all. It is called as the Vikriti.
